The Maine Suzuki Association 

Mission Statement 
The purpose of the Maine Suzuki Association is to support music education in Maine based upon the philosophy and teaching of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki (1898-1998) and to help further his vision of world peace.

History of MSA 
In the fall of 1992, a small group of Suzuki parents and teachers met to form a non-profit organization devoted to furthering the philosophy and educational ideals of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki within northern New England. During its first year the organization hosted the 'National Childrens Tour' from Japan with a fall performance and workshop in Portland, ME.
